Please join us for the last Open Studio of the 2024 residency season at Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture!

Presentation for this event willl be held in the Pine Meadow Ranch Classroom on Thursday, November 7, 2024 starting at 4 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time).

Presenters for this event include author Jackleen de la Harpe, ceramicist Sandee McGee, and folk artist/writer Sylvia Friday.

This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited so registration is required.

More information on the artists:

Jackleen de La Harpe (she/her) retired as executive director and founder of Underscore News, a digital news team covering Indigenous issues in the PNW. She oversaw Underscore's Food Sovereignty Project (2023) and was a Contributing Editor for The Conversation U.S. Her reporting has appeared in The Boston Globe, The Providence Journal, ICT (Indian Country Today) and Ecotrust.org.

(she/her) is an artist and curator who received her BA in Studio Art from Mills College in Oakland, California where she was the recipient of the Ralph DuCasse Award for Excellence in Art. She received her MFA from the University of Oregon in 2010.

Sylvia Friday (she/her) is a traditional basket maker, folk artist and writer. Weaving with willow combines her love for rivers, creeks and wetlands with her love of making things with her hands.
