Open Studio

Contemporary Craft's Metals Studio and Fibers Studio are available to individuals for Open Studio Rental. Open Studio provides the opportunity to work independently in a studio environment with access to tools and equipment not typically found in a home studio. Open Studio includes access to all of the tools and equipment in that Studio (some equipment requires certification to use). If you have not taken a workshop in the Studio where you want to rent time, you must engage in a brief interview with a staff member to discuss your skill level. Once approved, you may rent studio time.

• Monday: 10am-5pm
• Tuesday: 10am-5pm
• Wednesday: 10am-5pm
• Thursday: 10am-5pm
• Friday: 10am-5pm
• Saturday: 10am-5pm when there is no workshop scheduled in the Studio where you want to rent time.

Pricing

• 1 hour: $15
• 1 day: $35
• 10 hours: $60
• 1 month: $135

All Open Studio rentals are valid for one year from the date of purchase and all Open Studio sales are final.

Daily rentals are good for one single calendar day. Be sure to arrive early to get the most out of your daily rental.

10 hour rentals are good for any 10 hours and must be used within one year from the date of purchase.

Monthly rentals are good for unlimited visits throughout one calendar month and are good from the date of your first visit.

Scheduling

Once you have purchased time in the Studio you must schedule your studio time online. Use the links below to view Studio availability and schedule time. You must pay for your Open Studio time before you schedule your time.

You may schedule Open Studio time up to 2 months in advance with at least 24 hours notice.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens! If you need to reschedule your Open Studio time, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can take you off of the schedule. Any Open Studio "no-shows" will be counted against your paid rental time.

Procedure

When you arrive for Open Studio, please check in at the Program Office on the first floor to sign-in on the clipboard inside the door. When you are done in the studio, please sign out on the clipboard in the Program Office.

Other Guidelines

• Closed toe shoes are required in the Metals Studio
• Hair must be pulled back in Metals Studio
• Specific work spaces are not guaranteed in any of the Studios. They are first come, first served.
• Please use headphones when listening to music and take all calls outside
• Lockers are available to long term renters in the Metals Studio on a first come, first served basis.

• All personal tools, equipment, and materials must be cleaned up and taken with you (or put in your locker in the Metals Studio) at the end of each work session
• Studio rental is for independent work. CC staff is here to assist with tools and equipment, but not to provide instruction.
