Open Streets Knoxville creates safe, family-friendly fun by reserving city streets for people outside of cars. The event connects community members with local businesses and organizations and each other, making space for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, dance, and much more in the streets! Join us as we return to North Central Street, the site of the first Open Streets Knoxville event in 2015! The route will span from Oklahoma Ave. to Emory Place.
Performers, food trucks, businesses, and organizations can apply to participate here: https://forms.gle/aZgaoza4s1kNH1p16
More than a street festival, Open Streets encourages active transportation and healthy living, providing residents an opportunity to reconceive our streets as public spaces. Participants can enjoy being physically active and discovering new local businesses by foot, bike, scooter, or any human-powered vehicle.
We are partnering this year with Cattywampus Puppet Council to bring their annual puppet parade to Open Streets!
