Due to the unfortunate widespread, political assault on the LGBTQ+ community and our allies this is a call for all activists and artists to "band together". While our new government is intentionally rooted in discrimination and hate we MUST use our various voices to speak OUT, act OUT and sing OUT in celebration of free expression and show the importance of our intellectual freedoms. Through the OUTside Voices pride concert, BANNED we will use our voices to fight censorship in the banning of books, trans discrimination in sports, drag artists in brave performance spaces, abortion, health equity & women's rights, immigration and marriage equality.
We must protect our queer spaces, expression and representation by advancing the empowerment and visibility of LGBTQ+ people. We will NOT be erased or silence our existence.
