Orbit circles around two objects - and two people. It’s a search for ways to relate.Saana Tolonen and Carina Klingsell have in the last two weeks at Cirko started their research for their new project – Orbit (working title).
The performance is being created around the two props, Chinese pole and aerial hoop, that are attached together with a spinning top. They have been researching ways to move and connect and have been searching for what possibilities this new situation brings.
Working around the research topic of orbiting, spinning around each other, manipulation and collaboration, setting up the construction as well as taking it down, they have started the creation of their duet. A duet where the simple interaction between them, the audience and the objects is in focus.

Orbit kiertää kahden esineen ja kahden ihmisen ympärillä. Se tutkii vuorovaikutuksen tapoja.
Saana Tolonen ja Carina Klingsell ovat kahden viimeisen viikon aikana aloittaneet uuden projektinsa Orbit (työnimi) työstämisen Cirkon residenssissä.
Esitys perustuu kiinalaisen tolpan ja rengastrapetsin ympärille, jotka kiinnittyvät toisiinsa pyörivän yläosakiinnityksen avulla. He ovat tutkineet liikkumisen ja kohtaamisen tapoja sekä mahdollisuuksia, joita uusi kiinnitysjärjestelmä antaa.
Projektin luominen on alkanut työskentelemällä kiertämisen, liikkeen manipulaation ja yhteistyön aiheiden parissa sekä rakennelman kokoamisella ja purkamisella. Duetto keskittyy niin sirkusvälineiden, yleisön kuin esiintyjien vuorovaikutukseen.
