Amped is Hobart’s one & only rock choir!We’re an adult, all abilities, community group who rock out together on Thursday evenings & definitely don’t take ourselves too seriously.
No auditions or musical experience necessary, just a love for all things rock (think Judas Priest, Poison, AC/DC, Joan Jett, The Screaming Jets, INXS, Blondie, Nirvana, The White Stripes, Powderfinger, Foo Fighters…). Or not even that - just the want to try rockin’ out in a fun environment will do!
We’re holding this “open rehearsal” so you can come & check out whether we’re the future friends you’ve been looking for.
We only hold these at the beginning and middle of the year so that the group is stable to allow us to prepare for the odd “gig” here and there (normally only 1 casual performance every 6 months).
The Open Rehearsal is a free event, but if you decide you’d like to become an official member you will be asked to pay a $140 term fee (4 terms per year) which helps to cover our operating costs.
