Open My Factory: PacificLight Power Station

Hop onto a ferry service and join us on Jurong Island, where we will be touring the Pacific Light Power Station alongside long-time staff member Kwong Kok Chan! Take an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the different sites within the power station and physically experience an industry that the public rarely gets to see!

Who should come?

· Participants must be 18 years and above to participate.

Duration & Meeting Place

· Approximate Duration: 3.0 hours

· Language: English

· Please meet at Chinese Garden MRT Drop-Off Point – near Exit A Street Level (a bus will ferry participants to and fro the venue)

· The event will start and end at the same point.

· The tour will proceed rain or shine.

What to bring?

· Bring along your NRIC/Passport, a bottle of water and an umbrella.

· Participants are required to wear covered shoes. Participants may be denied entry if they do not come in proper footwear.

· Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably for the tour.

· If you have earphones with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, please bring them along (for radio guides during the tour).

· Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.

Other important information

· Participants are required to answer all necessary questions on the registration page for the host to conduct security checks before you are allowed to enter the premises.

· Participants are reminded to bring their NRIC or Passport for security clearance. Participants may be denied entry if they do not bring their NRIC or Passport.

· As Jurong Island is a restricted area, photography is strictly prohibited on the island.

· Parking is not available at the facilities. Kindly park your car near Chinese Garden MRT Station.

· Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.

· Event is not wheel-chair friendly.

· All proceeds will go to My Community to sustain the costs of running the tours.

Disclaimer

· All ticket sales are final. There will be no refund if you wish to cancel your tickets.

· By agreeing to participate in the tour, every participant will be responsible for any injury, loss of damage due to careIessness of other actions on his/her part or that of children under his/her charge.

· It is compulsory for a parent/guardian to accompany any child of or under the age of 12.

· Videos and photographs may also be taken during the event. By registering for this event, you give My Community full rights to use the photos for marketing and publicity.
