The November Hootenanny was absolutely amazing; with 24 remarkable acts and a house packed with spectators enjoying every minute of it.For the December Hootenanny, we shall celebrate another year of the beautiful community we've created around these proceedings and also observe the upcoming Winter Solstice.
For the latter, we shall take a few moments throughout the night to acknowledge the coming change in the planet's tilt toward the sun and the eternal cycle of birth, death and rebirth; mourning the dying of the light and celebrating the birth of new light.
For the former we shall rock out like mad monkeys and enjoy the hell out of each other's company and the ecstasy of sharing ourselves in a fearless forthright fashion.
Y'all know how we roll; an eclectic array of talented performers, a passel of scintillating spectators, and the gorgeous North Street Cabaret with its panoply of inexpensive libations.
"Universal Liberation Through Creative Self-Actualization"* is our motto and a rocking good time for all is our goal.
These festivities are as rewarding for the audience as they are for the performers, SO THEREFORE:

Michael Hollywood recently returned to Wisconsin after 30+ years in Chicago. He has experience as a Standup Comic, Storyteller, Musician, Performance Poet, Lecturer, Tour Guide, and Writer (amongst other things). He is co-author of a book about Chicago Filmmaking and a graduate of DePaul University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. He considers Live Performance to be a sacred activity and takes a special joy in helping others to connect with their own creativity.
