Every Thursday at The Maiden's Head we host an open mic night. All acts are welcome.Instruments provided are:
- Drum Kit (and house drummer)
- Electric Bass through PA (and house bassist)
- Electric Guitar and Amp
- 88 key hammer graded keyboard
- 2 Microphones
If there is anything else you might need please bring along your instruments or get in touch and we'll see if we can help accommodate you.
This doesn't mean the night is only for musicians! We have had stand up comedy and poetry, and welcome more to come along. I only warn performers that as it can be a lively pub, you may not have the silent audience one would expect from designated poetry nights etc.
Our open mic community has been steadily growing over the last few years and continues to do so. Book ahead or turn up early to guarantee a slot, or come just to get involved with the community! Hope to see you there soon.
