About this Event
Online debate on Zoom in the format of The Society of Cogers - founder of 104 London Debaters, debate expert and Distinguished Toastmaster, Paul Carroll, will give the opening speech on recent current affairs.
After that the microphone and virtual stage will be yours for up to 5 minutes to talk about something either in response to what Paul said or perhaps something you think he ought to have said. It should generally have some current affairs relevance, but this is very flexible.
We believe in Free Speech and our Online Club President, Bill Moss, who will act as The Grand, is very much in favour of Free Speech and against Cancel Culture.
In the Cogers' format The Grand is the chairman of the meeting, or Master of Ceremonies, what in Toastmasters often is simply called the Toastmaster of the Meeting.
