About this Event
Open Meeting on Racial Justice: Against the 'Prevent' Duty in Manchester
Manchester Amnesty International (Local Group) is hosting an Open Meeting on the chilling effects of the ‘Prevent’ duty on human rights in the UK. The aim of this event is to catalyse local activism and create connections between people who are concerned about racism and how it manifests itself through policing, education and health and social care; even if ‘Prevent’ is not a primary concern for them.
The event is free and everybody is encouraged to join. Represent your organisation or come as a concerned individual to ask these local and national experts about the Government’s ‘Prevent’ duty and how we can mobilise as a community.
If you are concerned about human rights in the UK – this is the space to be.
