Head out to the St. Charles County Regional Airport–Smartt Field for the Open House and Pumpkin Drop event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25. Check out experimental and home-built aircraft, view historic military aircraft and vehicles, tour the Commemorative Air Force Museum, and more. At 10 a.m., the pumpkin drop begins! At noon, the WW II B-25 Mitchell and TBM Avenger bombers “carpet bomb” a target with pumpkins. To sign up to participate in the pumpkin drop, call St. Charles Flying Service at 636-946-6066.
