About this Event
It’s a Fireworks Party! We’ve got a front row seat to all the action, so it’s a great time to visit. We’ve got makers, musicians, a clearance sale, and more!
Bring a blanket or chairs and a picnic - make your own or swing by downtown and grab some food from a food truck or restaurant to bring with you.
Open House: Come check out our new Swap Studio and Event Hub. Both will be open all afternoon.
Pop by before your fireworks viewing plans, or stay and watch them with us! We’ll have a variety of workshops and activities for the whole family starting at 3 PM:
Mini intuitive plant and palm readings - Megan from Herbal Bones Art & Wellness will be offering mini intuitive plant and palm readings ($26 for 15 minutes) and will have a few of her artistic creations available for purchase. The lines, patterns, and shapes on your hands show your unique gifts and purpose in life. What is holding us back from embodying those gifts is often also right there, if you know what to look for. What do the lines on your hands say about your gifts and challenges?
Fireworks themed sashiko art - join Jon's Repairs for a sashiko mending workshop!
Sashiko is a form of functional embroidery traditional to Japan, that consists of decorative reinforcement stitching to high-wear areas of clothing, but can also be used for aesthetic enjoyment. This workshop will focus on a "firework" pattern to match the theme of the night, but your art will be your own journey, and creativity is highly encouraged.
Bring a piece of clothing or softgood article to decorate or mend. Sashiko thread, needles, and patterns will be provided. And as always, come ready to learn.
CT River themed Big Coloring - Dave TenEyck will be leading the kids with another eco-friendly big coloring activity.
Stay Vocal Pop Up Shop - Alex will be here with your favorite rescued and reused t-shirts!
Live Music:
5 PM - Sarah Lou Richards
6:30 PM - Dave TenEyck
Potluck:
Want to bring your favorite dish to share? We’d love it! But please no disposables! Potluck items should be brought in reusable dishes which can be taken with you when you leave or picked up the next day. Plant based items preferred (no animal products).
