In this first month of the year, in these two hours of mindful movement, we will nourish our inner fire. You are invited to arrive at 7:15pm for an added fifteen minutes of slow and luxurious warmup. Our guest teacher on Wednesday, January 15th and February 12th is Kamla Sufi, visiting us from San Francisco, California, the birth place of Open Floor International. Kamla brings warmth and joy to all of her offerings, and soundscapes with varied rhythms and tempos from around the world.
We hold every Open Floor dance to be an inclusive environment for all genders, BIPOC and abilities. This offering is for all types of movers: beginners curious to try a sweaty mindful movement practice and for those experienced in freestyle dance, conscious dance and other embodied practices such as Contact Improv.
