Dr. Celene Ibrahim is the author of Women and Gender in the Qur'an from Oxford University Press , Islam and Monotheism from Cambridge University Press (forthcoming 2022), and dozens of academic articles. She is the editor of One Nation, Indivisible: Seeking Liberty and Justice from the Pulpit to the Streets (2019).
Ibrahim holds a doctorate in Arabic and Islamic Civilizations and a master's degree in Women's and Gender Studies and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University, a Masters of Divinity from Harvard University, and a bachelor's degree with the highest honors from Princeton University.
She offers lectures, workshops, and seminars around the world as a trusted voice on issues of religion and civic engagement, spiritual care and chaplaincy, Islamic intellectual history, and women's studies.
Omer Bajwa is the Director of Muslim Life in the Chaplain’s Office at Yale. His interests include Islam in the United States, inter-religious engagement, transnational religious networks, and Islam and the global media. He regularly lectures about these topics and others at campuses, congregations, and in communities across the country. Omer and his family are Residential Fellows in Yale’s Timothy Dwight College. When not working, he and his family can often be found sampling local desserts.
