We know there are great actors in Philadelphia. We want to meet you all!
We invite you to attend our open audition on December 7th from 4-9pm. Union and non-union actors are encouraged to attend, however this is NOT an AEA call so Union rules will not be in place. Our 2022 production has not yet been announced. This is a general audition.
SCP is currently negotiating a new union contract. Past rates have ranged between $350 - $450 a week. Non-union acting contracts for 2020 will be $300/week. SCP rehearses between 20-25 hours a week. Tech is three 8 out of 10s. We perform in Clark Park in the last week of July. To facilitate our radical community engagement we rehearse evenings and weekends, traditionally Tuesday through Saturday.
Sign in sheet will be posted at 3:30 PM. Please prepare a one minute Shakespeare monologue of your choosing and your favorite joke. Bring a headshot and resume for us to keep.
Classical experience is not required. We strongly encourage actors who have not trained in traditional systems to share their work with us.
*Please bring proof of COVID-vaccination with you and wear your mask in the waiting room. SCP is a fully vaccinated company.*
