Sister Act is a feel-good musical comedy like “nun” other! The play follows the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva who, after witnessing a murder, is put into protective custody in the one place where anyone is likely to find her—a convent. Being disguised as a nun can’t cramp her style. Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood. The play features original music by Tony and Oscar winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Aladdin, Little Mermaid)!
Auditioners should sign up for an audition slot on either the 21st or 22nd of September. The audition sign-up form is on our web page or follow this link: https://shorturl.at/iFjnY
Please prepare a short audition of about 16–32 measures from any song from pop, musical theatre, disco, soul or gospel genres. Please choose something that shows your range. Please bring sheet music for the accompanist, or a karaoke track and something to play it on.
We strongly encourage Black, Hispanic, and other performers of color to audition. We are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for all performers. There will be a short dance/movement, and cold reading for those called back on September 23rd. Call backs are by invitation.
