This art competition aims to encourage, recognize and showcase artists. All artists are invited to enter. You do not need to be a member of TAG.
Artists may submit up to three 2-Dimensional artworks in any style, genre, or medium not exceeding 140cm in perimeter or circumference.
This measurement includes the frame.
JUDGING OF ARTWORKS
It is an open theme to allow artists to showcase their skills, concepts, creativity and originality.
Prizes:
1. Cash prize for overall winner $400.00
o Highly Commended Certificate and gift voucher
o Commended Certificate and gift voucher
Winners will be selected by TAG Life Members: Jenny Crozier, Pam Riddell and Myra Bailey.
2. Cash prize for “People’s Choice Award” $100.00
Visitors throughout the duration of the exhibition may vote once for their
favourite artwork. The artwork with the most votes will be the “People’s Choice
Award” winner.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO ENTER
Age of artwork: to keep the artwork competition as fresh and original as possible, paintings must not have been exhibited anywhere before and must have been painted in 2023 or 2024.
Artwork must be ready to be hung: please ensure that:
• you use D rings and plastic-coated wire or art hanging cord positioned ¼ down from the top of the canvas or frame
• you have attached the Art Competition Label to the back of your artwork with completed details (your name, title of artwork, medium, price and telephone number and email address)
• your entry is not wet.
• you have included the Art Competition Label for the front of your artwork. This Label is for the exhibition and will be attached by the organisers after the judging process.
ENTRY FEE PER ARTWORK
$25 (non-refundable)
The artwork must be for sale: the Tilligerry Arts Group Gallery will take 20% commission of the sale price.
You will be contacted upon the sale of your artwork and asked for your bank account details.
HOW TO ENTER
Art Competition packages with information, application form and labels can be picked up at the gallery. if you cannot call in, message this page.
The completed entry form and entry fee must be received by November 1 2024.

with entry fee direct deposit payment receipt included
• posted to Open Art Competition

• delivered in person to the TAG Gallery where cash or eftpos payment can be made.

IMPORTANT DATES
The competition artworks will be on display, and for sale, from 6pm on the Opening Night, Saturday November 16, 2024 until 3pm Sunday 1 December 2024.
Unsold work will be available for collection between 3pm and 6pm Sunday December 1 or will be posted/delivered back at the artist’s cost. This option needs to be organised with TAG prior to the close of the exhibition.
DELIVERY OF ARTWORK
From 10am Friday November 8 until 4pm Wednesday November 13 2024.
The delivery of artworks can be in person, by post or by courier, but ONLY during TAG Gallery opening hours:
• Tuesday to Friday between 10am and 4pm
• Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 3pm.

OPENING NIGHT
The opening will be held at the Tilligerry Arts Group Gallery on Saturday November 16 commencing at 6pm when the winner will be announced.
Everyone is invited to attend the opening night. We are looking forward to a fabulous evening.
