About this Event
The purpose of this event -- hosted in partnership with the International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF), a registered Canadian charity -- is to raise money to support newly arrived Afghan families with immediate social services, food, clothing, hygiene items, and housing. 100% of ticket sales and donations will go directly to this cause. Ticket purchases and all donations are tax-deductible.
The $100 ticket will get you access to the event, which includes food and beverage.
We anticipate approximately 140 people will attend. The event will be held on an outdoor covered patio, and appropriate masking and distancing will be strictly enforced. All attendees will be fully vaccinated.
There will be live music and an address from Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada Marco Mendicino.
There will also be a silent auction available where you will have the opportunity to bid on items ranging from Leafs and Raptors tickets to a weekend getaway, and much more!
The event is being generously sponsored by Navigator, Aird & Berlis, EQ Bank and Linamar.
Attendees will mostly be working professionals from the Toronto area and the event will be a great opportunity to support a meaningful cause while re-engaging in safe, in-person socializing and networking with like-minded individuals.
If you are unable to attend the event on the 18th, you can still donate funds to support the initiative. Again, 100% of your donation will go directly to providing social services, food, clothing, hygiene items, and housing support to newly-arrived Afghan families in Toronto.
