Wystawa „P.OST” łączy dźwięk, światło, wideo i elementy rzeźbiarskie, które służą jako narzędzie badania pamięci, przemian i zmieniającego się znaczenia miejsca. Wystawa bada napięcie między nostalgią a pamięcią, rozważając, w jaki sposób przeszłość jest przywoływana, zmieniana lub reaktywowana w teraźniejszości.
Dyskusja będzie dotyczyła także roli światła i czasu w praktyce artystycznej Choróbskiego. Wykorzystując stopione szkło, światło i prace oparte na dźwięku, artysta tworzy przestrzenie, które rejestrują zmiany atmosferyczne i obecność ciała, jednocześnie rozszerzając wystawę poza galerię i przenosząc ją do miejskiego otoczenia.

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘂𝘀𝘇 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗼́𝗯𝘀𝗸𝗶 ukończył Uniwersytet Artystyczny w Poznaniu oraz Akademię Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. Artysta multidyscyplinarny, twórca działań site-specific w przestrzeni publicznej. Pracuje w różnorodnych mediach i technikach obrazowania, takich jak wideo, instalacja, performans i rzeźba.
Choróbskiego interesuje ludzka kondycja (wraz z jej kruchymi i fizycznymi aspektami) skonfrontowana z szeroko rozumianym pojęciem przestrzeni, rozpatrywanej także jako społeczeństwo i system ekonomiczny.
Ludzkie ciało i architektura są traktowane na równi w pracach Choróbskiego, który bierze pod lupę ich ekstremalne stany: skrajną dekonstrukcję, biedę i kryzys ekonomiczny. Rozpad nowoczesnej niegdyś architektury, ciało, dług to powracające motywy jego praktyki artystycznej.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝘇𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗮 – kuratorka, dyrektorka artystyczna, badaczka, autorka i pisarka pochodząca z Rzymu, mieszkająca w Berlinie. Jest kuratorką instytucji artystycznych, prywatnych kolekcji, fundacji i biennale w Europie oraz Azji Południowej i Południowo-Wschodniej.
Kuratorka w Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg Platz w Berlinie. Ponadto pracowała tam jako badaczka i wykładowczyni w ramach projektu SPACEX Spatial Practices in Art and Architecture for Empathetic Exchange, Marie Sklodowska – Curie Research, Innovation and Exchange Action, finansowanego przez Komisję Europejską i realizowanego w krajach UE. Jest kuratorką rezydentką w Fondazione Morra w Neapolu (Włochy), gdzie opracowuje program międzynarodowy, a obecnie współpracuje przy programie międzynarodowym K.P. Art Centre w Seulu (Korea Południowa) oraz Busan International Photography Festival 2025-2027.
𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘇 – kuratorka i pisarka mieszkająca w Berlinie. Od 2010 roku kieruje Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz w Berlinie. W tym czasie zrealizowała ponad 100 wystaw indywidualnych i zbiorowych. Pod jej kierownictwem Kunstverein stało się instytucją o stabilnym programie. Szczególnie interesuje się sztuką w przestrzeni publicznej i praktykami opartymi na czasie.
Projekty poza Kunstverein obejmują Flagge Zeigen / Showing True Colours w Brandenburgii (2020). W 2021 roku była współkuratorką wystawy „The World: Reglitterized” w Haus der Kunst w Monachium oraz zorganizowała Activist Neuroaesthetics Festival wraz z Warrenem Neidichem i Sarritą Hunn. W tym samym roku w Metaverse (wspólnie z Chiarą Valci Mazzarą) zrealizowano projekt Native Tongue XR autorstwa artystki Gill Gatfield z Aotearoa (Nowa Zelandia). W 2023 roku wraz z POSTA SPACE i PUNTA Gallery z Sofii była kuratorką wystawy pop-up A View With a Room. Oprócz pracy kuratorskiej wykładała na akademiach sztuki w Berlinie, Kassel, Salzburgu, Linzu, Helsinkach i Montpellier.

On 14 January 2026 at 6:00 pm, we invite you to an artits talk accompanying the exhibition P.OST, currently on view until the end of January at the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin. During the meeting, artist Mateusz Choróbski will be joined by curators Chiara Valci Mazzara and Susanne Prinz to discuss the exhibition, its conceptual framework, and the artistic processes behind it.
The conversation will offer a closer look at the ideas and processes shaping the exhibition and invite audiences to reflect on how space, time, and perception intersect in Choróbski’s artistic practice, in the context of his upcoming exhibition at OP ENHEIM.

Exhibition P.OST brings together sound, light, video, and sculptural elements as tools for investigating memory, transformation, and the shifting meanings of place. The exhibition explores the tension between nostalgia and memory, considering how the past is recalled, altered, or reactivated within the present.
The discussion will also address the role of light and time in Choróbski’s artistic practice. Through the use of fused glass, recorded light, and sound-based works, the artist creates spatial situations that register atmospheric change and bodily presence, while extending the exhibition beyond the gallery space and into the surrounding urban environment.
The conversation will offer a closer look at the ideas and processes shaping P.OST and invite audiences to reflect on how space, time, and perception intersect in Choróbski’s work, in the context of his upcoming exhibition at OP ENHEIM.

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘂𝘀𝘇 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗼́𝗯𝘀𝗸𝗶 is a multidisciplinary artist who graduated from the University of the Arts in Poznań and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His practice encompasses site-specific works in public space and spans media such as video, installation, performance, sound, and sculpture.
Choróbski’s work explores the human condition—its fragility and physicality—confronted with space understood not only architecturally, but also socially and economically. Human bodies and architecture are treated on equal terms, often examined in states of crisis, decomposition, or vulnerability. Recurring motifs in his practice include debt, decay, and the breakdown of once-modern architectural structures.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝘇𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗮 is a curator, artistic director, researcher, author, and writer originally from Rome and based in Berlin. She works with art institutions, private collections, foundations, and biennials across Europe and South and South-East Asia. She is a curator at the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin, where she also worked as a researcher and lecturer within the EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie project SPACEX: Spatial Practices in Art and Architecture for Empathetic Exchange. Valci Mazzara is resident curator at Fondazione Morra in Naples, where she develops the international programme, and is currently involved in the international programmes of K.P. Art Centre in Seoul and the Busan International Photography Festival (2025–2027).

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘇 is a curator and writer based in Berlin. Since 2010, she has directed the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, overseeing more than 100 solo and group exhibitions, as well as numerous site-specific sculptures and wall works. Under her leadership, the Kunstverein has established a strong and stable annual programme. Her curatorial interests focus on art in public space and time-based practices.
Projects beyond the Kunstverein include Flagge Zeigen / Showing True Colours in Brandenburg (2020); The World: Reglitterized at Haus der Kunst, Munich (2021); and the Activist Neuroaesthetics Festival (2021). In the same year, she co-realised Native Tongue XR by Gill Gatfield in the Metaverse with Chiara Valci Mazzara. In 2023, she co-curated the pop-up exhibition A View With a Room. From 2021–2025, she participated in the EU-funded SPACEX project. Alongside her curatorial work, she has taught at art academies in Berlin, Kassel, Salzburg, Linz, Helsinki, and Montpellier.
