It's time for the Decorate Your Bike ride y'all. Break out the streamers. Strap a stuffy to those handle bars. Stick something wild on your helmet. Get creative with those cardboard boxes laying around. Or just ride on over and help yourself to the decorations we'll have ready and waiting for anyone that wants them.
Our rolling block party gathers at Scoville Park near Lake Street and Oak Park Ave at 8:45am for a 9am(ish) departure. We’ll have music and good cheer on this 4 mile loop, lasting around an hour, and finishing up right where we start.

We ride slowly for little peddlers and parents on cargo bikes. Everyone should wear a helmet, have a parent or guardian with them, and be able to ride without training wheels in a straight line. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who have not learned to pedal.
A quick disclaimer: These rides are intended to be informal gatherings of family cyclists. While the spirit of the ride is that we'll all be looking out for each other, each adult is ultimately responsible for any young people they bring with them and deciding what’s safe and appropriate for you and your group.
