KINDLE CIMMERIAN WORKSHOPS
"The Function- Creative Partnerwork"
In mathematics, a function is a relationship or expression involving one or more variables. Here's a chance to explore what can be created with partners on the spot! We will work with different tasks to see how movements can be intertwined and connected with another person. Come with an open mind and heart, and let's see our creativity multiply! **This class will involve physical touch**
"Bewitching Wielding- A Sword Choreo"
Join Kindle for a beautiful sword choreo that features balancing, serpentine movement, and creative transitions. In the beginning of class, we'll touch on basic sword safety. There is some floor work- bring knee pads! Options will be made available for those who do not wish to utilize the floor.
"Can I play you on loop?"
A workshop dedicated to technique and drills! We'll dive into targeting various muscles to achieve precise movement and isolation, exploring range, speed, and foot patterns using Datura Style technique. You'll leave with valuable tools and ideas to elevate your personal practice at home!
"Fusion Finger Cymbals"
This workshop will raise our zill game by layering exciting zill patterns over fusion dance movements, so be prepared to give your body and mind a workout! We'll be using common and not-so-common zill patterns, plus I'll also show you how I organize and write my patterns over the dance combination.

NYX NAMOR WORKSHOP
“Stealing Souls with Stage Presence”
A single look. A muscle twitch. Sometimes, this is all it takes to capture the souls within an audience. How?
Stage Presence.
But we're not just talking about what everyone sees like costume and choreography. It's also what the audience DOESN'T see, but rather FEELS from you, too. We'll explore our mindsets and emotions, and experiment with several tips and tricks to learn how to give off the aura you want on stage long before you step on it.

ABOUT KINDLE CIMMERIAN
“I am not the fuel nor fire, but the spark. The darkness in light and a light in the dark”
A founding member of international art collective, Black Lotus Kult, Kindle utilizes many different styles to celebrate the spiritual, sensual and unusual through her art, with a primary focus on dance and movement. Since 2002, she has held audiences captivated by fire performance, using poi, fans, and fire palms. In 2005, during a move to Sacramento, she found herself fall in love with the experimentation and fierceness of belly dance ignited by instructor Amy Sigil. In the time since, Kindle has received intensive instruction in this art from world-renowned masters, and has traveled all over the country enjoying and sharing this dance with others. She was recently awarded 1st Place Pro Fusion Dancer at the 2019 Orlando Belly Dance Convention. She is an official Datura certified instructor who teaches and performs throughout the US.

ABOUT DAWN XIANA MOON
Dawn Xiana Moon is the Founder/Director of Raks Geek, a bellydance and fire company that was recently voted "Best Dance Troupe in Chicago" (runner up) by the Chicago Reader. Raks Geek has garnered international accolades through their commitment to blend a high degree of artistic and technical mastery with fun, creativity, and themes from geek culture; they achieved internet notoriety with a video of a Wookiee bellydancing to a Klingon band. This earned them a spot on UK Channel 4 TV's "50 Funniest Moments of 2012"; The Daily Mail hailed the group as "sci-fi seduction." Dawn also dances and spins fire with Acrobatica Infiniti Circus and was a longtime member of Read My Hips. WGN-TV called her "spectacular!"
In addition to her work as a dancer, Dawn is a singer-songwriter who's performed in 10 states and released two albums - she fuses elements from traditional Chinese music with folk, pop, and jazz. She's also written cultural commentary on film, TV, and music for a variety of publications; acted in theatre and independent films; designed graphics for Anheuser-Busch; and coded websites for the University of Chicago. She has a degree in theatre from the University of Michigan and over 25 years of formal acting training and performance experience.

ABOUT KAT FROM KALAMAZOO
Meet Kat from Kalamazoo, a passionate belly dancer whose journey began in 2009 when a friend introduced her to the captivating world of belly dancing. Since then, she has immersed herself in Raqs Sharqi, Datura Style, and Fusion styles, dancing with Boheme Belly Dance in downtown Kalamazoo since 2016.
Kat's dedication to her craft led her to become a certified 8 Elements Datura Style Teacher, a journey that began with attending Rachel Brice's 8 Elements training in August 2019. She completed the 8 Elements Transmission for Datura Style teacher training in May 2023.
In addition to her dance achievements, Kat is also an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor, a testament to her commitment to health and wellness. She shares her love for Datura Style by teaching weekly classes in Portage, MI, where she inspires others with her skill, passion, and dedication to the art of belly dancing.

ABOUT NYX NAMOR
Nyx Namor is dark fusion belly dancer from Champaign, IL specializing in gothic and metal themed performances. She is a founding member of the Stygian Collective and one half of the duo Twilight's Edge, a project she shares with her fellow Stygian, Kasper. A lover of all things dark and macabre, Nyx enjoys turning her passion into performance, whether it be for catharsis, exploration, or pure expression. She prefers to explore emotions that society once deemed 'improper' for women to show: anger, apathy, grief, rage ... anything that is considered on the darker half of the emotional spectrum. It is her belief that you cannot have light without dark or happiness without anger or grief. It is only by exploring both that we can be whole.
