You are cordially invited to the 2025 Threshing! Report to Deadtime Stories in Lansing at 11pm on Monday, January 20th to begin the hunt for your dragon. Once you have found her (or him), enjoy refreshments, activities, and a social hour with your fellow cadets while you shop limited-edition merch. When the clock strikes midnight, collect the ultimate reward- your very own copy of Onyx Storm! Each attendee who purchases a hard copy will also receive a free copy of the audiobook, courtesy of Libro.FM! What's the "mystery?" Well...you know we like to keep it real around here. We ordered dozens of copies of the deluxe edition of Onyx Storm the day it became available. But publishers and distributors have a long, ugly history of not prioritizing indie bookstores when it comes to big releases such as this one. While we are operating on good faith that we will receive our order, there is the chance that they will do to us what they have done to many a comrade of ours during previous big-name releases, and cancel our order. Should that happen, we will have copies of the standard edition on hand, and will refund the price difference. Should the unthinkable happen and THOSE don't arrive on time, you will, at the very least, get a FREE copy of the audiobook at the event! So you WILL get a copy of Onyx Storm the moment it releases. In what format, though, remains a bit of a mystery.
