Ontario Literacy for Leaders Summit

Designed specifically for Ontario Directors, Assistant Directors, and Superintendents, we will focus on new learning for board leaders in the Science of Reading transformation. Please join us as we help support high-level knowledge building to connect the Right to Read Inquiry Report with your board literacy initiatives.

Key Topics We Will Explore:

• Connecting the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s Right to Read Inquiry Report with the new Ontario curriculum, research-based instructional tools, and provincial assessments
• Building knowledge as a board leader on the high-level essentials of Science of Reading, Structured Literacy, and brain research
• How to best engage with board stakeholders around literacy goals and initiatives
• Ideas to support principals in building literacy capacity as instructional leaders
• Strategic practices and planning to support lateral communication and collaboration between board departments
• Inspire, network and connect with board leaders and literacy experts

Meeting time 10:00 - 5:00 (lunch provided).
