ABOUT ONOLEIGH
Onoleigh knows what she wants to say. The 27-year-old Mahomet, IL, native has spent the past few years in Nashville honing her sound, but her story began long before. At 16, she made frequent trips to Music City, quickly earning a spot in the Broadway circuit. Cutting her teeth on cover songs for tourists, she learned to command a crowd with her stunning vocals and undeniable presence. In the writing room, Onoleigh spent the next few years finding her voice as a songwriter and carving out a niche that is distinctly her own.
Fast forward to 2025, and Onoleigh is staking her claim in country music with the release of her debut EP, First Rodeo (March 14). The project was born out of a transformative trip to Los Angeles, where she teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer Emile Ghantous and hit songwriters Josh Goode and Sam SZND. Together, they crafted a sound that fuses explosive pop production with the raw emotion of country storytelling. Back in Nashville, Onoleigh brought the songs to life with some of the city’s top studio musicians, adding the organic instrumentation that keeps her music rooted in country tradition. Lead singles “Higher Standards,” “Drink And Cry,” “OK Later,” and “Bottomless Tears” have landed on editorial playlists including Spotify’s All New Country and Fresh Finds Country, CMT Music’s The Roundup, and ACM’s Fresh Music Friday, and she has racked up over 700,000 global career streams.
Known for her electrifying live shows, Onoleigh has shared stages with legends like John Oates, Smokey Robinson, and Jordan Davis. She’s performed at Nashville’s Whiskey Jam and The Basement’s New Faces Night, earning a reputation as a rising force in the genre. With features in CMT, The Boot, Taste of Country, Earmilk, CelebSecrets Country, All Country News, Holler, and more, she’s proving that First Rodeo is just the beginning of a career built for the long haul.
