Only Miracles Reimagined: Holocaust Education Through Performance
Only Miracles is a meticulously researched piece of Documentary Theatrical, grounded in the true stories of Holocaust survivors Ed and Helen Lefkowitz. The production takes the audience on a deeply emotional journey spanning 10 years and 10,000 miles across war-torn Europe, Soviet Russia, the Arctic and the Gulags, before, during and after World War II. Adapted from interviews with the Lefkowitz’ conducted by the Shoah Visual History Foundation in 1995, and 3 years of conversation with their daughter, Rose Rosenkranz-Lefkowitz, Only Miracles allows the audience to witness a deeply personal story of survival through one of history’s darkest periods.
