About this Event
It's about that time for our annual kimjang!! It's a day for the community to get together and make kimchi with the season's harvest. Join us for a free kimchi-making-fest, with all ingredients provided. Marcus be there again, with recipes and tips on making our favorite firey ferment.
This year, we're also excited to host Maine Garum, tasting their local eel-sauce. It's an absolute umami bomb, and we'll be tossing some in to boost our kimchi. Yuuum!
Plus, there will be a kimchi jjigae (stew) lunch special starting at 11:30AM til sellout!!
If you'd like to attend, all you need to do is RSVP and bring your own kimchi vessel. A quart glass jar with a lid or even better - an onggi (or really any ceramic vessel) - would work just fine. We'll also have some jars and crocks at the shop if you need to buy one. And don't forget to dress warm, since we'll be outside!
