The Oneonta Sportsmen's Club Pistol Team will begin its '25-'26 season on Friday, October 10th! Practices are Weds evenings (usually 5-7PM) and match relays occur each Friday beginning at 7:30PM.We are affiliated with the Central Empire State Rifle & Pistol League (https://www.cesrpl.com/) and rotate matches around member ranges in Oneonta, Delhi, Stamford, Rockdale, Sidney and Walton for a total of 20 matches over about 23 weeks from Oct-Mar.
Most matches are .22 and scored for competition (top 4 scores on each team) on a 50-ft range, while some matches are centrefire for fun/social interaction.
No sign-up is needed, but bring your own pistol(s) and ammo to use. No jacketed and/or magnum rounds in the indoor range (only pure lead loads), from .22LR up to .45 centerfire. Generally everyone who wants to shoot a 300 with .22LR goes first, followed by anyone who wants to do centerfire ($2 per shooter per round).
