With the number of people giving blood at a 20-year low, blood and platelet donations are needed now to help alleviate shortages and ensure lifesaving medical procedures proceed without delay.We've partnered with OneBlood to bring their Big Red Bus to New Smyrna Beach from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 2 outside the Jessie Stevenson Kovalenko Memorial Gymnasium at 1000 Live Oak St. Donors will receive a $20 eGift Card, T-shirt, and a wellness checkup including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening.
