In January 2022 Tom’s wife was hit by a lorry whilst cycling to teach medicine at a London university. The injuries she sustained were transformative.

One Step At A Time is an exhibition in response to this, made up of paintings, drawings, sculpture and photographs connected by text. It tells the story of the incident and explores themes that have emerged in its aftermath; The experience of a body transformed, ideas around disability, and support during crisis.
