Join us for this annual favorite event as former KFRU radio host David Lile moderates a discussion of "North Woods" with local experts, each sharing their individual experiences and expertise related to the One Read selection.
• Mallary Lieber, Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture staff and board member will share her fruit tree expertise and knowledge of native plants.
• Sarah Parris, writer and English instructor for Columbia College, will share how being a writer of genre fiction and her knowledge of literature impacts her reading of "North Woods."
• Lucas Schwartze, Missouri State Museum Park/Historic Site Specialist, will discuss his research into the history of spiritualism.
• Dr. Mike Jirik, assistant professor of Black studies at the University of Missouri, will talk about his study of American history and particularly his research on Black history, the U.S. Civil War and Reconstruction.
