The Bearded Dragon is PROUD to announce a brand new style of event for the local One Piece community. We are excited to bring you our Team Trios Battle for November! It's time for groups of three friends, brothers, & captains to team up and battle it out for a massive prize pool. This unique event should be a fun experience, especially when a player on a team has to run a different leader!Date: Saturday, November 16th at 11 AM
Format: Constructed Team Trios (Swiss +1 rounds w/ top four cut)
Entry: $100 per team
Prizes:
1st: $750 Store Credit ($250 per player)
2nd: $405 Store Credit ($135 per player)
3rd/4th: $240 Store Credit ($80 per player)
The advertised prize pool is based on twenty teams and will be adjusted according to final attendance.
Players can also take Two Legends or Premium booster boxes in $80 store credit increments from their share of prize monies while supplies last.
Team Trios Rules:
Deck Construction: All three players on a team must be playing different leaders. No other team restriction on cards exists. For example, your team can have 12 identical non-leader cards across your three decks.
Communication: Players can communicate with their teammates and discuss plays and strategies during matches. While team discussions are allowed during gameplay, teams are still responsible for playing at a reasonable pace, and slowplay warnings and penalties will be given. Communication is only permitted among teammates who are seated. Players may not move their chairs around; if a player gets up from his seat (to pack up their stuff, use the restroom, etc), they may no longer communicate with their team.
Seating: At check-in, teams will select who will sit in the A, B, and C seats for their team. Players are locked in that seat for the remainder of the event. For example, player B on a team will only play player B on other teams for the event duration.
Match Wins: A team has won their round if they win two of their three matches.
This event will be run on Melee.GG. All players must have an active Melee.GG account.
Decklists will be required for this event. Due to the duplicity in card names, decklists must contain total collector numbers to identify cards. (IE. Sabo OP04-083).
This event is HARD CAPPED at twenty teams. Preregistration is strongly advised and the only way to guarentee your team's spot. One player will register on our website for the event, and the other two players will be recorded on the day of the event.
