List Requirements: One 2000 point Grimdark Future list. List must be made using an official OPR army. Force Organization must be selected when building your armies to be tournament valid.
Date: December 7, 2024
Check-in Time: 11:00-11:30 am. Be prepared to show your list to the Tournament Organizers for validation.
Event Start Time: 11:30pm
Event End Time: 6:00pm
Individual Match Length: 1 hour and 45 minutes maximum, 3 rounds maximum
Player Requirements:
Each player needs to bring at least 2 copies of their list to allow for their opponent to reference during the matches.
All lists must use the “Force Organization” (Competitive Validation) rules when list building.
Normal objective control rules apply. 4 objectives will be used each match.
Objective control only counts towards Victory Points (VP) at the end of Round 4.
Line of Sight rules will use the OPR Top-Down when determining attacks (see further details section for specifics).
Optional Rules (pushing, jumping, falling) will not be utilized.
Terrain rules for cover or rough terrain will be overviewed by Tournament Organizers before the first match for each map.
Rules debates will be settled by Tournament Organizers.
Since OPR is a mini-agnostic game, all players must call out what each Model/Unit is and their height based on the LoS rules before the start of a match to avoid confusion.
Mixed Armies: Players may bring units from up to two factions in the same list, but they must select one of them as their primary faction. Mixed armies must consist of at least 60% worth of units of their primary faction, and heroes from either faction list may only join other units from their own faction.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for the top 2 players, best painted Grimdark Future team, and raffle drawings.
Further Details:
Matches will be played in a Swiss style bracket. Each player will play 3 matches.
Points for match results will be tallied as follows:
Win = 3 points
Draw = 1 points
Lose = 0 point
The first round will be randomly generated with the following rounds being matched up based on point totals from previous rounds.
At the end of 3 matches, the winner will be determined based on points, or in case of a tie, objectives controlled.
Each player will need to keep track of how many objectives they controlled at the end of each match. This will be used in the case of a tiebreaker to determine the top 2 players.
