Originally from Ottawa, Jennifer lived in Australia for 16 years before returning to Canada's West Coast, where she now resides in Gibsons, BC.There are two workshops and you can register for one or the other or both. The Fundamentals: Introducing gel printing basics - colour blending and gradations, creating textures, masks and stencils, the use of different viscosity paints, and registering multiple layers. No prior experience needed.
Sun. Sept 28 10am-4pm
Beyond the Basics: More advanced techniques, such as resist/transfer printing with a variety of methods including using laser prints of your own drawings or photographs. Some familiarity with the basics is recommended.
These workshops are suitable for those new to monoprinting with a gel plate as well as experienced printmakers who wish to expand their skillset in an atmosphere of exploration and discovery.
