About this Event
Tom Canavan worked on the 47th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center. On September 11, 2001, as Tom escaped the North Tower, the adjacent 110 story South Tower proceeded to collapse on top of him. Digging his way out of steel and debris, Tom Canavan became one of 19 people to survive the collapse of the Twin Towers. Hear about his ordeal when Christie Seyglinski and Andrew Colabella interview him.
Christie Seyglinski grew up in New Jersey, living in the shadow of the Twin Towers and 9/11 had a profound impact on her. When the Memorial opened, Seyglinski became a volunteer. Since then, she became a close friend to Tom Canavan, whose testimony of that morning is something that should never be forgotten.
