Showko returns to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to premiere a new version of "One Night Sushi Stand” (Melbourne Festival of Puppetry 2023 Sell Out Show) promising an even crazier and funnier experience, complete with live music.A crazy, seaweed-wrapped ventriloquist sitcom! Meet Showko, a single mom with dreams as big as Godzilla! While she didn't quite make it to the red carpet, she opened her own sushi bar – One Night Sushi Stand. She juggles bills and her son's education while her employee, Sushi Master (Puppet), serves up bizarre sushi for free to strange customers with problems as tangled as a noodle bowl in an effort to heal them. (Showko's surreal handmade puppets.)
This is a show where sushi isn't just food; it's the ultimate recipe for comedy and healing.
