Join us in Queens for a one-night-only celebration of Balinese culture through food, dance, and music. Experience a vibrant 3-course Balinese dinner by Chef Shandra—featuring classics like gado-gado, ayam betutu, and klepon—paired with captivating performances, including traditional Balinese dance, Indonesian drag, and live music by Indonesian-American artists. Come eat, vibe, and celebrate the richness of Indonesian culture and community—everyone’s welcome.

Appetizer:
Gado-Gado - Indonesian salad with boiled vegetables, tofu, tempeh, and hard-boiled egg served with rich peanut sauce
Entree:
Nasi Campur Bali - a Balinese style mixed rice plate served with:
- Lawar - vegetables with grated coconut
- Ayam Betutu - slow-cooked spiced chicken
- Tum - steamed minced chicken with herbs
- Ayam Suwir - shredded chicken in spicy sauce
- Sambal Matah - raw chili relish with lemograss & shallots
- Fried peanuts
Desserts:
Klepon - sweet rice cake filled with palm sugar, coated in coconut
Urap Jagung - sweet corn with seasoned grated coconut
Drinks:
Homemade Jamu - Traditional Indonesian Herbal Tonic with a blend of turmeric & tamarind, ginger, and lemongrass

About :
Hailing from Banyuwangi in East Java, Chef Shandra Woworuntu found her love of cooking as a means to create accessibility for everyone to try Indonesian cuisine. Based in Astoria, Queens, Shandra is also a fierce anti-violence and labor rights activist where she is able to marry cooking and activism by teaching culinary skills to survivors of human trafficking with support services and vocational training through Leagues of Kitchen.
Shandra and her cooking have been featured by CBS Saturday Morning's The Dish, Forbes, Spruce Eats, Food & Wine, WNYC, Gothamist, American Essence Magazine, They Had Fun, and more.
