Tone Central Station and Furch Guitars are PROUD to Present :
ONE GUITAR, ONE VOICE.
This is NIGHT 3, ROUND 1
OGOV is a Singer/Songwriter contest aimed at showcasing pure talent while keeping it as simple as possible. Our winner will earn the very guitar that each song is performed with, a STUNNING Furch Blue Dc-EM Performance. THAT'S RIGHT! Every performer will play this and it is the GRAND PRIZE!!!! This is a BEAUTIFUL instrument and valued at almost $2000!!!!!!
We are keeping it simple. Every contestant will perform and original song, written by them. They will all use the same guitar, strap, cable and mic. No reverb and a flat EQ. There will be assistance with the guitar coming on and going off and the mic will be cleaned between each performance. Each contestant will perform 1 song that is up to 5 minutes in length and no more than 2 times for the entire contest!
Simple, right?
Night 1 was Thursday July 17th.
Night 2 was Thursday August 21st.
Night 3 is Thursday September 18th.
Final Round is Thursday October 16th.
Here's how it works :
Months 1-3 are Round 1. We will keep it limited to 30 performers total (10 per month). The top 3 each month will advance to the finals in October. The highest scoring performer from months 1-3 will ear the 10th spot in the finals! So, you could come in 4th in months 1-3 and STILL MAKE IT IN! Also, as a bonus, Jamie and Todd each have a "Golden Ticket" spot for a performer who fails to qualify, that we feel should get a 2nd chance in the final round. This means that up to 12 will make the finals. So, BRING YOUR A+++ GAME!!!!
And course, we need you spectators! You will be a HUGE part of how this contest plays out (pun intended)!
We will have 3 judges per night (different judges each month). They will be judging on 10 categories and will account for 60% of your score. The other 40% comes from the audience!
We have 30 TOTAL CONTEST spots available and it is FIRST COME, FIRST CHOICE!!!
ALL LEVELS-PLAYING STYLES-ALL AGES = EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!!
Want more information?
Come into Tone Central Station and speak with Jamie or Todd, to get more details and to sign up. We are keeping this limited to 30 spots and it is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE! There is a 1 time $20 entry fee. This is to secure your spot.
We are very proud to have Elvis’ Famous Tennessee Shaved Ice, D'Addario and Co., Solomon Mics, Lampifier Microphones all aboard as sponsors for an AMAZING PRIZE POOL for the winner!
FUN SHOUT-OUT to Stringjoy!!! They are giving away a set of strings to each performer!
Please "like and share" this post! We want this to reach as many people as possible. And who knows...you might just share it be the reason the final winner learns about this contest....
And a final thank you to Henry French of Solomon Mics for being the inspiration behind the original version of this contest, on which this was created
