One-Day Répétiteur Workshop in association with Irish National Opera:
Introduction of INO Scholarship for Répétiteur
About this Event

About this event:

The Vocal, Opera and Drama Department at TU Dublin Conservatoire invites applications for a one-day introductory course specifically aimed at singers and pianists developing their dual performance skills, and for pianists interested in pursuing professional careers as répétiteurs.

The full-day course will include masterclasses and workshops with experienced répétiteurs, accompanists, conductors, singers and vocal teachers and a round-table discussion offering advice on work experience and developing opportunities from key industry professionals.

Participants may attend as a pre-formed duo (singer and pianist) or will be assigned partners in advance of the course. Both will have an opportunity to develop their collaborative skills throughout the day’s activities and selected partnerships will be chosen to take part in a concert at the conclusion of the course.

Prospective applicants should fill out an application form and return along with a biography (300 words max.) detailing performance experience and achievements to date.

Pianists wishing to take part as performing participants should have reached a minimum of Diploma level. Singers should have at least three years of suitable experience.

Music programmes will be agreed in advance.

Guidance and information on making an application for the Master of Music in Performance (MMus, Vocal and Répétiteur) offered at TU Dublin Conservatoire will also be covered during the course.

Course fees:

€80 for Participating Pianists (Diploma standard minimum) and Singers (three years experience)
