Join Jane Davidson Snider, founder of Oakhenge Houses of Healing, for a full-day immersion into the liberating, healing, and empowering energy of your own voice.
Jane spent many years working as a classically trained opera singer, studying at Wilfrid Laurier University and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. She went on to teach voice for over twenty years, guiding singers who now perform on international stages. Today, she weaves that lifetime of vocal mastery with her work as an Integrative Trauma Practitioner, Spiritual Director, and Somatic Facilitator — blending the science of sound with the alchemy of healing.
Through movement, breathwork, vocal activation, and sound exploration, this retreat guides you to reconnect with your natural voice — the one that lives beyond perfection, beyond performance, and deep within the truth of who you are.
We’ll work not only with the physical voice, but with the energetic resonance of the throat chakra — the center of truth, expression, and creative freedom. You’ll learn:
- How your voice actually works and how to support it safely through breath and body awareness
- Gentle techniques to free your natural resonance
- Practices to express and release emotion through sound
- The connection between vocal vibration and nervous system regulation
- How to rediscover joy and self-trust through singing and authentic expression
