One Day Mosaics with Lisandra Weiters

In our Intro to Mosaics class, you're encouraged to come prepared with your own design, or seek inspiration from the vibrant surroundings, such as the subway ride over or the creative hub at Urban Glass. In this class, we will go over the basics of this ancient art form, learning glass cutting techniques and the art of composing shapes to form personal designs. We will bring the entire piece together with grout at the end of the class.

What to Expect: You will leave the  class with your piece already finished. This class will be split into a step by step session where I will show you demonstrations of how to create mosaics from initial drawings to tools we use to cut and paste the glass itself, but you will spend the majority of the time working on your piece. Eligibility: This class is open to all levels, come with a variety of ideas and we can work together to bring your designs to reality! No previous experience required. Open to ages 12 and up.
