ABOUT ANDREW GUNN
ANDREW GUNN is an experienced and versatile film and television director whose diverse work encompasses high-end drama, children’s drama, comedy and short films.
He has directed some of the most high-profile dramas of recent years, working with Academy Award nominees and BAFTA award-winners, and counts amongst his collaborators Andy Serkis, Imelda Staunton, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, David Morrissey, Olivia Coleman, John Simm, Ian Puleston-Davies, Felicity Jones, Sophie Okonedo, Ian Hart and Stephen Tomkinson.
His credits include the Emmy-winning Life on Mars, Doctor Who, Survivors, Wild at Heart, The Bay, Wolfblood, Green Wing and Primeval.

Join accomplished drama director ANDREW GUNN as he leads a Full Day Screen Acting Workshop, sharing the core skills and industry insights that you’ll need to launch a career in acting, from shooting the best self-tapes, preparing for castings and auditions and what directors are looking for.
Become familiar with the craft and technique of screen acting as well as the director’s process of collaborating with actors on set. Discover the secrets of blocking, rehearsing and shooting a scene, and how to work with a professional camera crew.
You will explore this through practical exercises, screenings, discussions and scripted acting workshops.

Terms of the workshop:
This is an exclusive interactive workshop for just 12 participants per class.
The age range is 16 years and above.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancel Less than 14 days and the full amount is liable. If we can rebook your place we can refund your money.
- Once the scripts are distributed, refunds for cancellations will not be issued. Please commit to the workshop date with this in mind.
- If we need to cancel a full refund will be given to each participant
Line Learning Commitment:
When you enroll, please commit to learning your lines. They don't need to be word-perfect, but having them off the page is respectful to your scene partner and allows you both to fully connect and make the most of the experience.
Scene Partner Consideration:
Participants will be paired up to work on scenes. If you cancel after the script distribution, it can be unfair to your scene partner, who is also investing time and effort. Please purchase a spot only if you can fully commit to the specified date.
No-shows:
Additionally, we kindly request that if, for any reason, you cannot make it to the workshop, please let us know in advance. In recent times, we've observed a growing trend of no-shows, which can be disruptive and unfair to your fellow participants. Your timely communication will help us maintain a respectful and considerate environment for everyone involved.
