Welcome to Oncology Yoga Class!
Join Maggie Kiedrowski, YYT-200, Certified yoga4cancer Instructor, for this Oncology Yoga class tailored to yoga for breast cancer. This class is open to all women who have been either recently diagnosed with breast cancer or are breast cancer survivors whose healthcare provider has cleared them to do yoga or exercise.
Studies have shown that doing yoga while going through breast cancer treatment may help you get through it with fewer side effects and can also help manage fatigue. We will move through poses slowly and gently with modifications offered throughout the practice making it accessible for everyone. The class will include yoga asana (postures), restorative postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and relaxation (savasana) at the end.
This practice can be done in a chair or on a yoga mat. Please message us if you will be needing a chair so we can make sure we have enough available.
This is a donation-based yoga practice; the suggested donation is $20.
Space is limited to 8, so register ahead to save your spot.
