Join three NEPA Philharmonic brass players and Executive Director, Nancy Sanderson, for their performance of the Philharmonic's “Once Upon an Orchestra” series.Ben’s Trumpet by Rachel Isadora is fiction, but it could be the story of any jazz musician who grew up in the twenties. Using the art-deco style of the period, Isadora’s illustrations capture the poignancy and yearning of a youthful talent.
Developed for children between the ages of three and six, this program will teach our young audience members about brass instruments and attending an orchestra concert. It will culminate with Nancy reading Ben’s Trumpet out loud to the children, with the brass instruments providing special music throughout the story.
