About this Event
The USC School of Dramatic Arts and the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy students are partnered with formerly incarcerated members of Healing Dialogue & Action to bring you this original 1 hour interactive Forum Theatre experience on Restorative Justice. We live in a country that represents just 4% of the world's population, yet we incarcerate more than 25% of the total number of incarcerated people on the planet. As we turn the corner towards the 2024 local, state and national elections, we have an opportunity to investigate our problematic relationship to justice. What will heal our divided community? What are some responses to violence that work for both offenders and survivors to ensure a safer and sustainable solution for us all?
This play is performed in the style and methodology of Theatre of the Oppressed. Professors Brent Blair (School of Dramatic Arts) and David Sloane (Sol Price School of Public Policy) join founding director Javier Stauring and team members Ernesto Sanchez, Eric Benites, and Daaron Hammond (Healing Dialogue & Action) to bring you this original, devised, interactive theatrical dialogue.
Admission is free. Reservations are required.
