More about The Womps:
Funky New England-formed fusion rock band The Womps is a group that’s unique in its innovations, and familiar in its rock n’ roll roots.
Divide and Conquer has called them a band with “craftsmanship, filled with love and good ole-fashioned elbow grease.” The Womps takes listeners on an eclectic journey of improvisation and colorful songwriting, reinventing the music at every performance.
Leaders of The Womps Jason Lilly (drums, guitar, and vocals) and Kailey Zercher (violin and vocals) are performers who inspire performers of all ages to become, like themselves, “their own creators, no matter what others tell them is or isn’t possible.”
The Womps has appeared at the Harry Brown’s Farm for the Ganja Grail Festival, Freeport Fall Fest, Marshfield Fair, Jamaica Plains Porchfest, and StART on The Street in (Worcester, MA) festivals, among others, and at many famous music venues, including The Lizard Lounge in Boston and Nietzsche’s in Buffalo. They have also played in legendary nightspots such as Ghenghis Cohen in LA, and The Stone Church in New Hampshire. They were also artists in residence at Fury’s Publick House, and Blue in Portland, Maine.
The Womps has performed or collaborated with Ben Taylor, John Forte, Tyler Adams (The Jauntee), The Rumpke Mountain Boys, Hawthorne Heights, Pitti Hecht, and Stu Kimball.
Their most recent releases include live studio album, Mad Science, which exemplifies the breadth of flow through improvisation and songwriting, and their accompanying live video sessions recorded at Chillhouse Studios in Charleston, MA.
More about The Chops:
The Chops are a Psychedelic Jamband based out of Boston. Influenced by Funk, Blues, Jazz, Synth Rock and all genres of music. With added improvisation that is unique to the band's sound. Deeply inspired by the Bosstown of the 60s and always looking to add a modern twist.
Since 2021, The Chops have carved a name out in the New England Jam Scene. Sharing the same stages with bands such as , , Pink Talking Phish, , Sunsqabi, Griz, , Bearly Dead, Club Delf and More!
While touring the East Coast The Chops, have brought intense energy through music to venues such as The Sinclair, Brighton Music Hall, Soundcheck Studios, Larcom Theatre, Stone Church NH and other coveted spots. As well as playing countless festival sets throughout the East!
Through these shows the band has never played the same setlist twice and tends to melt the sound of the band to fit the environment. Sometimes adding unique themes that the crowd and band participate in. Over the last few years this band has grown tremendously due to its committed fan base. The Chops Family and the band work together to spread the passion we share for original music. With this tight fan base a true community has formed.
