ONCE AN OUTLAW steps in for the southern rock greats who aren't on tour, leaning into both classic southern rock and blues tracks alongside deep cuts from the Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, and Allman Brothers catalogs. The band is fronted by former Outlaw Chris Anderson, whose resume includes time with Blackhawk, Rattlebone, and collaborations with Lucinda Williams, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Hank Williams Jr., and Stephen Stills.
The core lineup includes Chuck Farrell, Tim Archibald, and A.J. Vallee, who have played with Barry Goudreau’s Engine Room, the Peacheaters, and Jon Butcher’s Shades of Blues. With rotating guests from the Southern Rock world regularly joining the mix, ONCE AN OUTLAW brings a flexible, road-tested sound that stays true to the genre’s roots without ever sounding stuck in the past.
