This free one-day training event, hosted by the Junior League of Harlingen and the United Way of Northern Cameron County, is for individuals in all stages of their service careers who are interested in serving on non-profit, civic, or professional boards of directors. This year's training, led by Leadership Empowerment Group, will focus on the core elements of board service: Developing an Effective Board, Goal Setting, Strategic Planning, and Collaborative Professional Communication. Both individuals and whole-boards attendees will benefit from the day.
