About the Instructors

An experienced naturalist, Xiaoyun is an avid biodiversity facilitator and partnerships executive with The Untamed Paths. Pitch-dark forests or knee-deep waters, pre-dawn or past midnight — she’s up for adventures and animals. Her wildlife career highlights definitely include running up a hill to observe a pangolin with a hitchhiking baby, and sighting the elusive Selangor Mud Snake – last seen in Singapore in 1918! Xiaoyun is also the author of the title chapter in 'Eating Chilli Crab in the Anthropocene' (2020), and contributed a chapter on the ecological dimensions of fast fashion in 'Local Encounters in a Global City: Singapore Stories' (2017). Climate concerned and passionate, she guides others to realise the beauty and joy of the thriving natural world, and cultivate care and action towards environmental conservation.

Noelle is a research assistant at NTU Asian School of the Environment, equipped with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Environmental Science. Her current research revolves around the intricate dynamics of university campus ecosystem services and biodiversity. On the side, she facilitates wildlife-focused eco-programmes with The Untamed Paths. Outside of work, Noelle immerses herself in outdoor adventures, creates scientific illustrations, and finds solace in tending to her enchanting Walstad aquarium.

Pam is a creative storyteller and nature advocate. An inquisitive spirit and seeker of collaboration, she cares deeply for ecological challenges and seeks to communicate the value of nature and environment conservation and drive change through works, visuals and sounds. Off the clock, you can find her nose-deep in pockets of green and blue, or thinking of ways to communicate long-standing misconceptions and narratives of our environment.
