About this Event

Have you ever thought about how old Water is? What Water has seen? If Water were our relative, would it be our sibling or our elder?

Join us to explore the theme of water through a writing workshop led by Austin Bat Cave! Learn how to use your experiences to create poems, stories and illustrations honoring water and our relationship to it.

Austin Bat Cave is a creative community that provides programs in creative writing, journalism, college essay writing, resume writing, expressive journaling, and more! With rising housing costs and gentrification pushing families further outside of city limits, Austin Bat Cave developed a mobile classroom by converting a city bus into a traveling writing lab and library—the ABC Bat Mobile. Currently this program serves four schools in the Del Valle Independent School District.
